Car Wash 11 April 2009

11th April 2009 Saturday, Fine. Our Company headed off to Admiralty SPC for car washing as part of our company commitment to serve the community and also raise some additional funds. It was a day of invaluable experience for our Boys (They will need the lesson on keeping their cars presentable in their adult lives because the car condition tells a lot about the person!). Here we captured some of the memorable moments…

Well Done.

Give it up to Li Quan, Jordan, Gabriel & Yi Xun

It must be old news by now … yes our Boys completed AQ coming in as the 51st team overcoming obstacles with archery and missing bikes.

I would also like to share the achievement with Yu Wee & Ming Jun who showed tremendous commitment during training but were not able to participate due to circumstances beyond their control.

Let’s not forget the supporting casts – all the officers, teachers, primers, Boys who supported as trainers, marshal, encourager and food provider.

Thank God for His protection and pray that the entire AQ experience will not be an end in itself, but an important life experience that strengthen their foundation to face up to life challenges.

AQ 2009 – Count Down

After months of training, we are finally drawing near to D-Day. Indeed the last few months of training has been exciting and probably the most comprehensive one so far …. we had kayak training in Jan, folowed by topo training, cycling through park connectors, topo in the rain, individual confidence topo, night road march, full set of archery/abseiling/rockwall training and  a final preparation on actual AQ route last sunday.

The strenuous training routine also saw a drop out rate of 50%. We started with 12 and drop to 6 at the final training last sunday. Unfortunately, we can’t send send 1 and half team … so here’s our fantastic four who will wear team number 99:

Li Quan

Our team leader and sharp shooter

Jordan

Able assistant and the workhorse in the team.

Gabriel

As the chinese saying goes “San San Ji Kee Gu, Kang Hu Qwa Buay Choo”

Yi Xun

The live-wire of the team

Pray that Yi Xun will recover from his injury on time and all the best to our best AQ team to date. May they do our company proud !!
